The John Clarke Chapter recently awarded the DAR Good Citizens Award to Ashley Clegg, a recent graduate of Social Circle High School. The society created this award in 1934 and it is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship.
The Good Citizens Award recognizes and rewards selected high school seniors who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism in their homes, schools and communities. Ashley was selected by her teachers and peers because she demonstrates these qualities to an outstanding degree. Ashley will be attending the U. S. Military Academy at West Point in the fall of 2019.
