Several members of the John Clarke Chapter participated in the National Wreaths Across America Day event held on December 16, 2017, at the Georgia Veterans Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia.
Each December coordinated wreath-laying ceremonies are held, at Arlington Cemetery and over 1,200 additional locations in all 50 states, to remember our veterans. The mission of Wreaths Across America is to Remember our fallen U.S. Veterans, to Honor those who serve our country, and to Teach children the value of freedom.
Volunteers who place wreaths on a veteran’s grave are encouraged to say that veteran’s name aloud, to take a moment to thank them for their service to our country, and to keep their memory alive. John Clarke daughters are proud to participate in this annual event.
